Maintains effective, friendly working relationship with health professionals, physicians, consultants and governmental agencies that may be involved in the resident assessment/care plan functions of the facility.
Under minimal supervision RN II provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients needs with the nurse competencies. RN II completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. RN II performs other related duties as assigned.
Provides and manages nursing care to patients in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary health team. Performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for the age/condition of the patient.
Provides professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examinations and treatments. Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors patient vital signs. Observes and maintains records on patient care, condition, reaction, and progress.
The RN-staff nurse under the supervision of the nursing director/manager provides patient care and/or support activities appropriate to ages served; primarily adults ages 18-65or geriatric patient's ages over 65.
Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the short-term care facility.
Overseeing the annual development, implementation, and evaluation of Infection Prevention goals and objectives, and conducting planning and risk assessment to reduce and control the risk of health care associated infections.
