The Nurse Practitioner will deliver acute and/or routine problem-focused care to patients under the general supervision of the Primary Care Physician Director. In collaboration with the primary care Physician Director, the Nurse Practitioner will provide medical management, patient education, and care coordination to patients desiring care for non-life threatening, acute care needs.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) works as part of the Clinical Operations Team, providing clinical assessment and care to assigned patients in their homes and in skilled nursing facilities; identifying quality improvement activities and planning individualized health care consistent with Matrix Medical Network policy protocols.

In this role, the selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Medical Director of Neonatology and other physicians within the group to provide continuous and comprehensive management of a broad range of personal health services for the neonatology population at WakeMed, including the medical care, primary teaching and coordination of follow up services of the hospitalized newborns in the intensive, intermediate and newborn nurseries.
