As a senior regional surety underwriter, youll be the primary relationship manager for surety business within your territory, focused on marketing, managing and underwriting a new and renewal surety book of business through contact with select agencies and brokers.
Lead the interaction and management of assigned MGAs, ensure proper adherence to levels of authority granted, and assess applications above the level of authority; manage underwriting requirements for binding coverage.
Underwrite Property and G&L lines, assess risk and establish guidelines through investigation and analysis of applications, reports, previous contracts, losses, credit reports, financial standing, etc.
Underwrite and negotiate renewals on Commercial Lines portfolios in construction, mining and forestry; service renewal accounts, adequately pricing the exposures appropriately to attain desired profit returns.
Responsible for using technical, sales and analytical skills to provide insurance solutions that help customers manage risk; reviews applications and financial requirements to determine acceptability of risk.
