The Mechanical/Design Engineer is responsible for researching, planning, and designing mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods. Directs and coordinates activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of mechanical products and systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for design, ownership, and growth of a product line. Accountable to internal customers (Operations/Machine Shop/Customer Service) as well as the end customer (machine user) meeting with them at their location as necessary.
In this role, you will prepare design layouts, diagrams, bills of material, and drawings/schematics of components and assemblies with supporting calculations, i.e. weight, tolerancing, etc. in support of the overall vehicle design.
Responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, and revising training content and performance qualification metrics. Require application of instructional design theory and process to create a variety of learning solutions that improve business results.
The Mechanical Engineer performs complex assignments often requiring development of new or improved products/processes/techniques. This position assesses feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests/products/equipment. The position requires an ability to interpret, on a broad basis, the principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty.
Coordinate the implementation of concept design solutions through the architectural contract documents; consistently produce the highest quality set of contract documents and drawings to support field requirements.
Work with associates, vendors, and customers to insure customer satisfaction; actively support and participate in strategic initiatives, group goals and continuous process improvement through lean principles.
Retrieve component/assembly models from the product data management system and incorporate advanced changes to general features. Implement revised model elements to update component, sub-assembly, assembly, and kit drawings.
Develop the project electrical documentation consisting of; the project one-line, the detailed AC (three-line), control (DC and circuit breaker) schematics, the component layouts, the internal point to point wiring diagrams, and the customer interconnect drawings with minimum guidance.
In this role, the selected candidate will create and/or revise electrical drawings and documentation for converter based products and system solutions including, electrical one-line diagrams, communications network diagrams, functional control specifications, product and system schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.
