As a Quality Engineer you will often participate in company production system manufacturing assessments and are responsible to drive improvements; drive improvement actions based on results from Global Safety Audit.
In this role, the selected candidate designs, installs and evaluates quality assurance systems, procedures and statistical techniques; designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; analyzes production and service processes and standards; recommends revision of specifications when indicated; formulates or helps formulate quality assurance policies and procedures.
In this role, the selected candidate must have the ability to independently implement quality programs for New Product, New Specifications and Technology Transfer projects including developing quality processes, forms, and work instructions and training production staff in those procedures.
In this role, you will oversee the development of Lean and Quality Systems and procedures for a lower tier automotive supplier manufacturing specialty "Goop" that goes to the customers molding plastic products which is then sold the automobile manufacturers looking for radio and shifter knobs and plastic dashboards.
The Quality Engineer will drive the quality assurance activities in the manufacturing plant.
The Quality Engineer will work closely with all functional groups within the plant to design and implement quality assurance programs and procedures.
In this role, the selected candidate will interface with and have responsibility for supplier sourcing projects including, new sources, new products, supplier process changes, etc.; handling and coordinating supplier APQP/PPAP activities including initial samples, capability, PV testing, PSW and launch activities; handling supplier non-conforming products including issuing failure notice, root cause analysis, follow-up corrective action and supplier reports; perform supplier audit for new model launch and supplier quality problems.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop and implement quality programs for new products, new specifications and technology transfer projects working closely with customers, suppliers and internal engineering and production staff.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and ensuring the implementation of quality compliant procedures for specialty polymers manufactured in the form of pebbles, powders or semifluid matter.
The Quality Engineer (QE) is required to work with all departments on the development of new products in order to meet customer and TS-16949 requirements. This includes all quality related aspects of PPAP, prototype and ongoing product development.
