In this role, the selected candidate will develop computer vision software for fixed point DSPs based on PC algorithms written in C/C++; develop serial communication software ( SPI, I2C, CAN etc. ) for DSPs and micro-controllers.
The Process Engineer is responsible for improving processes of Primary Operations; the incumbent will also be required to prepare, review and update processes and work practices to improve electric arc furnace processing, melting and casting processes, quality, yield and productivity, and reduce costs.
This position requires a formally trained and experienced Lean Six-Sigma practitioner, a person that is able to facilitate and drive change in a fast paced and "ever changing" environment leveraging his/her strong interpersonal, professional, and collaborative skills.
Support all necessary manufacturing issues with high level activity for process safety concerns, customer quality concerns, supplier and/or vendor quality investigations, shipment concerns and product sort/rework activities.
Work collaboratively with other functional areas within the organization including Operations, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Finance, Purchasing and Logistics to support the objectives of each department as it relates to Process Development and overall company needs.
Provides process engineering support to the refinery within defined areas of accountability. They provide technical expertise to achieve the safe, reliable and optimal operations of their assigned process through the appropriate application of process engineering, process control and process technology.
In this role, the selected candidate must have an experience with Software and Systems engineering development process; ability to lead and mentor teams through complex issues and formal design reviews.
Responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from critical process specifications or downstream product specifications and providing technical support to resolve shell related issues.
