The Medical Short Stay Unit (MSSU) Physician Assistant /Nurse Practitioner (PA/NP) provides evaluation and treatment of adult observation patients under the direction of the MSSU attending. The MSSU PA/NP will provide patient care in two units including MSSU North (18 beds) and MSSU South (22 beds).
In this role, the selected candidate must have a strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record use; excellent English communication skills required due to minimal ethnic diversity in the area.
The Physician Assistant duties include daily rounds, Intensive care unit, Step down unit, Endoscopic vein harvesting, Radial harvesting, First/Second assisting, Discharge summaries and Office Visit follow up care.
