Responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of the ill, injured, or infirm; and the promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others.
The Registered Nurse, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, coordinates the plan of care activities for assigned patients and identifies opportunities to participate in unit performance improvement activities as directed.
The RN - Nurse Supervisor is responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient's needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.
This position is responsible for assuring quality patient care in accordance with acceptable practices. In addition to traditional nursing care, the Registered Nurse duties focus on reducing or minimizing the effects of mental illness.
Implement and coordinate the delivery of care in collaboration with physician and resource health care personnel; utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in applying nursing knowledge.
Responsible for the care of patients within specific population & assume accountability for professional practice development and supports / contributes to Nursing Shared Governance within the Professional Practice Model.
