Manufacturing Engineer will interface with design engineering, quality, purchasing, planning, logistics, service, and production in coordinating the release of new products, sustaining existing product, and failure analysis of returned products.
Assist with Planning improvements and problem solving for manufacturing issues (production methods and procedures) in a specific function (including layout, production flow, tooling and production equipment, material fabrication, assembly methods and planning).
This Engineer plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant. In addition, the engineer provides direct advisory support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welding and brazing, assembly and material handling.
This position is responsible for a variety of activities including, and not limited to, performing standard and complex design tasks, requiring the operation and application of computer aided design equipment such as a plotter, and associated peripheral equipment, performing standard, complex, and non-routine design tasks.

Exercise technical authority for the design, planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of assigned Facility Engineering projects to include major facility modifications, construction projects, Class III support equipment projects, and facility systems engineering projects for the Trident II missile.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for trouble shooting issues that arise during line trials and package testing on moderate to low-moderate risk projects with minimal supervision.
Developing plans and specifications for projects with unique or controversial problems that have an important effect on major organization programs which involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope and selection of problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
Prepare a report of recommendations for equipment needed and correct methods of manufacturing (including sequence of operations and detailed methodology of complex assemblies and installations as well as detail components).
