The Clinical Nurse Specialist serves as a resource in his/her specialty for all members of the health care team and champions evidence-based practice and performance improvement to advance the science of nursing in his/her specialty and improve patient care interventions/outcomes.
This position works collaboratively with users of clinical information systems, with IS department, and all other departments or groups to optimize information management and communications to support clinicians as they improve the health of populations, communities, families, and individuals.

Must complete at least 5 hours of continuing education annually specific to the specialty certification, as well as maintain specialty certification throughout tenure of position.
The Clinical Risk Specialist will perform MDR/adverse event reporting, evaluate clinical use of product, analyze data to reduce occurrence/risk, analyze adverse events/complaint trends, and respond to regulatory inquiries.
The CS is responsible for developing, coordinating, and assuring implementation of corporate scientific and clinical strategies to these thought leaders within academic, clinical, and healthcare organizations.
