Provide and direct speech therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation. Develop treatment plans by identifying a problem list, long and short-term goals, and methods to achieve recovery.
Evaluate and treat inpatients, outpatients, and home health patients for speech languaguage and swallowing disorders, performs swallow evaluations, Modified Barium Swallows, Speech language evaluations and treatments.
Conduct Speech-Language Pathology evaluations/ treatments including, but not limited to: clinical dysphagia evaluations/treatments and modified barium swallow studies for patients in the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical departments, and the Intensive Care Units.
The primary purpose of the School Based - Speech Language Pathologist position is diagnostic assessment and therapeutic treatment of pediatric students in a school setting, who demonstrate speech, language and swallowing deficits with the goal of helping them reach their maximum performance potential within an educational model of practice.
