This position is responsible for process monitoring and improvement of the vacuum investment casting process. Requirements of the position also include support of manufacturing through process control & improvement initiatives, assumes responsibility for integrity of product, establishes & maintains external & internal customer contacts.
The Process Engineer is responsible for improving processes of Primary Operations; the incumbent will also be required to prepare, review and update processes and work practices to improve electric arc furnace processing, melting and casting processes, quality, yield and productivity, and reduce costs.
In this role, you must have comparable industry experience, ability to model kinetic, thermodynamic, fluid mechanic, mass transfer, and heat transfer properties using standard software, and thorough understanding of analytical techniques.
In this role, the selected must have familiarity with a wide range of unit operations is desired (filtration, drying, batch and continuous distillation, heat exchangers, pumps, evaporators, instrumentation and controls, etc.).
This position will apply problem solving and design skills supporting project based continuous improvement initiatives while leading a cross functional team in multiple departments across our manufacturing processes.
In this role, you will work with operations to drive defects related to the assembly of electrical components to zero. Staying current with new electrical technology for potential impact to locomotive electrical system manufacturing.
The Process Engineer is responsible for participating in the development and maintenance of the policies and procedures applicable to the financial operations of the plant in the areas of standard costs, expense budgets, profit planning, forecasting and appropriations.
The Tool and Process Engineer is responsible for planning, and maintaining stable and capable production/business processes as they pertain to equipment, facilities and tooling functionality following the WCM model.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop processes for pilot scale production of small molecules to support manufacture of thin film coated products; use software to model kinetic, thermodynamic, fluid mechanic, mass changes, and heat transfer properties.
