The Instrumentation/ Electrical Controls Engineer will be a member of the Chelsea Proving Grounds (CPG) Instrumentation Support Services team and will provide support for a variety of projects and test facilities.
Responsible for modifying electrical control circuits and PLC/HMI programs; working as part of a maintenance team in troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition breakdowns; assisting with design, integration, installation, and support of manufacturing equipment, control systems, and data acquisition systems and writing technical reports.
This position will install, validate, and control all battery manufacturing processes in a Tier I manufacturing facility. Employee operates with minimum direction and performs varied and somewhat complex work where independent judgment and action is exercised.
You will be part of a team and responsible for product design and development tasks including: schematic diagrams, component selection with design/cost trade-off analysis, proto builds, working with customer requirements, and analyzing performance of the design.
In this role, the selected candidate must have one or more years of progressive Electrical or PLC Controls engineering related experience; proven experience in a manufacturing environment, providing troubleshooting and support for production needs.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
