The selected candidate will perform client consulting in the area of network engineering (hardware and software) using routers, switches, networksecurity devices, protocol analyzers, TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS, Routing Protocols, QoS.
In this role the Network Engineer will maintain and design all internal networks, including customer-facing hosted and cloud environments. The Network Engineer will also provide expert technical assistance in WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security as well as in Microsoft related technologies.
In this role, the selected candidate will setup network environments by implementing system (PCs, printers, peripherals and networking equipment) configurations, documentation and enforcing system standards.
In this role, the selected candidate must have the ability and skill set to analyze current & future requirements of the network in a collaborative team environment, in addition to the day to day management of the network functions and guaranteed operation.
In this role, the selected candidate will meet with customers, suppliers, and Ford IT Engineering teams to gather and evaluate requirements do refresh existing end-of-life components such as Cisco VG224 and 3845 gateways.
In this role, you will have the ability to build security solutions that will continue to further strengthen the clients security fingerprint while also simplifying and improving the end user experience.
In this role, the selected candidate will lead the research and evaluation of emerging networking/firewall and VPN technology, and industry and market trends to assist in project development and prioritization.
