Responsible for applying fundamental physics to innovate and develop advanced product designs for applications to new or existing automotive chassis mechanical and electro-mechanical systems and components as well as performing CAD and CAE modeling of mechanical systems and components.
Design the machine fixturing, cabinet, end effoectors or anything else that may be required mechanically. Possibly running FEA analysis on specific projects. Develop 3D design drawings in Autodesk Inventor and fabrication drawings in 2D. Communicate with Project manager and customer where neccessary.
Provide reliability input into maintenance procedures, standards and specifications. Use root cause failure to analyze delays and breakdowns to direct and implement permanent and effective corrective actions.
This person will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of automotive instrumentation and electronic modules. They must have strong communication skills to interact with other departments.
Manages the engineering discipline in one or more small to medium-sized projects (including negotiating project scope and fees, job production and quality, fee management, collection, and workplan) in coordination with the project manager.
