Responsible for executing test procedures for telematics programs. Reviews test specifications and documents issues/recommendations. Participates in root cause analysis with suppliers and provides production support to identify system and implementation issues.
This position requires a trainable, self-motivated individual with a strong software process or embedded systems background. This individual must have a passion for embedded system software development.
Responsible for establishing technical cost for assigned components throughout program life (establishing piece cost and tooling investment targets, negotiation support for new business placement and cost analysis for design changes).
Provide technical brake system support throughout all phases of the vehicle program to ensure robust program execution and performance; work with component and vehicle engineering to ensure system/subsystem interfaces are working as defined.
Develop advanced novel hybrid powertrain CAE tools to support development and optimization of next generation hybrid systems, controls, and calibrations that balance performance and fuel economy attributes.
You will have to work with senior engineers to understand scalability and performance requirements and then dig through multiple lines of code, sometimes in different development environments to understand where your code should go.
This position has a massive C++ codebase, and the right candidate must be willing to dive right in. You should be ready to work with system engineers to create scalable, maintainable and robust software designs for new driver assistance functions and/or automated driving.
Works with sales team in assessing potential application of OmniVision products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for development and implementation of customer applications and solutions.
