This position is the Java Developer for Meridian Health Plans application development organization. High level responsibilities include interpreting the functional requirements/ design documents and designing, developing and implementing applications following our Agile software development process.
Lead in the design, development, deployment and support of software components, and software solutions for business units and/or enterprise level projects in the Microsoft .NET environment for multiple platforms.
Developing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting applications to support core insurance systems (Guidewire), supporting applications (document imaging, Thunderhead document production, etc.), or other internal systems (intranet based applications, corporate website, mobile app, etc).
The Application Developer will focus on the developing, producing, implementing, documenting, maintaining, and supporting systems, purchased technology solutions, and/or operating systems and related software.
The Application/Software Developers are involved in the full system life cycle and therefore are responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting application/integrating software solutions that are delivered on time and within budget.
Participates in the development of technology solutions which implement standards and performance requirements to maximize reliability, functionality, and integrity while minimizing costs and cycle time.
The Developer Java emphasis will develop, create, and modify Web based application software or specialized programs. The primary application among this team is the tool used by Control-Tec employees and customers to configure what vehicles should capture, when they should capture it, and which vehicles should be doing it.
In this role, the selected candidate must have Strong Java/J2EE developer with more than 8+yrs experience. Should have good experience in Java/J2EE technologies, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle 11g, SQL, Linux/Unix, Maven, Junit, Jenkins, SVN, Eclipse, Visio, WebSphere, Tomcat.
The Java Systems Developer role will involve close interaction with the Systems Architect, Development Team Leaders, business team members and other members of the development team and will demand a high level of design and coding to implement and deliver enhancements.
