The Interline Product Engineer I has responsibility for ensuring consistency of quality and engineering-related aspects of IBIs exclusive brand product lines to include products with the builders hardware, plumbing, electrical, lighting and mechanical family of products.
Conduct safety check lists and inspections; support design and test readiness reviews and safety working group meetings; preparation of data packages and briefing material for Customer System Safety Review Boards.
Prepare, review & monitor TREAD Early Warning Report. Support the preparation of documentation for safety recall campaigns and NHTSA inquiries & investigations. Determine relevancy of, and accurately code, TREAD-relevant field information utilizing the appropriate database.
Design, develop and test industry leading products to support the growth strategies and market position of CTMW. Ensure product designs incorporate the features to meet customer expectations and the materials and manufacturing techniques to achieve profitability demands.
Identify root causes and associated corrective actions, evaluate process/product performance, and participate/interface with the engineering counterparts on program activities to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual and company requirements.
