The Network Planning Engineer will be the subject matter expert for architecting, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting a complex enterprise network in support of common business applications and objectives.
The Network Engineer will be responsible for configuring, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting devices on a complex enterprise network in support of common business applications and objectives for approximately 200 sites and 20,000 users.
Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
Assists in developing strategic and tactical planning of LAN/WAN environments for internal customers, including discovery and documentation of user requirements before development design and programming.
Analyzes voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
Work with customer and program management to translate business needs into reliable information platforms by researching, designing, sourcing, tracking, and deploying network hardware and software systems.
