This position provides direction, and day-to-day management of educational activities. This includes administrative duties to the Residency training program, and educational coordination between attending physicians and residents.
The Director Emergency Services Department assures service, growth, development, personnel management, and resource allocation and management controls in order to ensure consistent high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.
The Division Director of Medication Safety is responsible for medication safety and quality activities at all HCA facilities within the division to include but not limited to: standardization of medication management practices, ensure regulatory compliance, implementing national quality agenda related to medication management, development of medication safety programs, staff development/education.
Develop professional relationships and communicate with national and regional thought leaders to ensure access to medical and scientific information on Merck products and areas of therapeutic interest.
Conduct coverage review based on individual member plan documents, and national and proprietary coverage review guidelines, render coverage determinations, and discuss with requesting providers as needed in peer-to-peer telephone calls.
Provides timely expert medical review for requests to evaluate the medical necessity of services that do not meet utilization review criteria while located in a state or territory of the United States.
Performs preventivemaintenance, safety test, incoming inspection, installation, troubleshooting,repair,calibration, to all patient care equipment.Serves as an advisor to appropriate hospitalcommittees.
Develop policies and procedures, and standard operating procedures that will provide a consistent approach to clinical appeal medical director adjudication processes for the clinical appeal departments across all three business segments.
