Senior Engineer responsible for maintaining and updating the AVCATT/NCM3 software systems. This includes the helicopter aircraft systems, avionics integration, and training environment and OneSAF software for the standalone devices as well as when interoperating with other systems. The engineer is responsible for updating the system of systems simulations while maintaining the existing architecture and adding new subsystem to components to the system. The code consists of Ada, FORTRAN, C, C++ and Java software.
Leads prototyping (what ifs) as well as supporting pilot programs for R&D purposes. The primary areas include, but are not limited to, trend analyses, statistical analyses, algorithm development and machine learning.
In this role, you will performs engineering design assignments for preparation of engineering design document and maintaining the design disclosure. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation.
Perform, conduct, and document preventive maintenance checks required for the devices and associated subsystems. Update maintenance data collection records and assist with the installation and check-out of modifications to equipment.
