Partner with various teams across the company (Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Tax, Law, Investor Relations, and Regulatory) to ensure appropriateness of disclosures in 10Q, 10K and 8Ks as applicable
Draft 10Q, 10K and 8Ks, as applicable and ensure filing within deadlines.
This Accounting Manager will play a key role in executing on accounting and reporting activities and ensuring compliance in the areas under G&A and Treasury Accounting, including Cash, Marketable Securities & Investments, Compensation (Cash Bonuses and Stock-Based), Derivatives, Debt, Stock Re-purchases, Executive Benefits/Compensation, and Other company-wide Benefits (e.g., RMSA, Group Health Insurance, Recruiting and Relocation).
Manage the outsourced & off-shore accounting service provider team to complete month-end/quarter-end accounting close process, to prepare account analysis, variance analysis and management reporting package, and to ensure financial controls and quality standards are met.
Report any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and develop/refine AR processes and procedures with a focus on continuous improvements; receive inbound billing-related customer quires and resolve any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities will include researching GAAP technical issues and regulations, overseeing the company's SEC reporting requirements, assisting with financial planning and analysis, process improvement initiatives, special projects, and more.
Position requires a strong understanding of US GAAP with the ability to interpret accounting standards as well as the application of Sarbanes-Oxley. The manager should be able to effectively and concisely communicate with varying levels of management via both oral and written mediums.
The Senior Manager - Revenue Accounting is responsible for managing the month end and quarter end close process for the Revenue team. Including recording and analyzing the patient revenues, receivables and valuation allowance.
Review variance report submitted by local team; research variances and resolve issues; review of local accounts' reconciliations; ensure accounts are properly reconciled, documented, and local review and approval is evidenced.
Develop, document, and implement accounting policies consistent with industry standards; research technical accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memos on complex accounting issues as needed.
Respond to technical accounting inquiries from field operators, finance staff and external auditors; communicate internal accounting policies and accounting updates to finance organization and external auditors.
