This position is for a hands-on experienced RF/MMIC engineer with solid state design of power amplifiers and TRMs for active array applications. The primary role is the analyses of RF amplifier architectures, simulations linear and saturated FET designs, evaluates technologies (GaN, GaAs, HBT, etc), trade studies, and requirements development within SWaP constrained systems.
In this role, the selected candidate will be designing assembly equipment fixtures and tooling; updating and maintaining the standard equipment design manual to be referenced in all requests for quotes.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for reviewing solid model designs, importing requirement data into CAD/CAM software, and creating machining programs with correct tooling and feed-rates.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop equipment general arrangement and power bus routing drawings; develop specifications and generate ordering drawings for electrical equipment, transformers, power bus and equipment houses.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for working with equipment engineers and vendors to implement, build, and setup equipment to be designed in-house; maintaining a detailed time log to capture the number of hours required for in-house tooling design.
This position provides support to existing asset management activities and strategies as needed. Employee will have some primary objectives related to asset management activities and will also function as bench support for single threaded roles.
In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, develop conceptual and functional requirements for short and long term process and equipment development (facility planning) consistent with the business plan.
