The ideal candidate is expected to be knowledgeable in: General mechanical engineering theory including statics, vibration/dynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics especially in transitional flow regimes.
This position is responsible for the design, development and testing of all aspects of mechanical components, systems and equipment including new and existing products. Develops multiple design concepts.
Develop design parameters associated with the reactor pressure vessel, pressurizer, steam generator, reactor vessel internals, containment pressure vessel, main steam and feedwater piping, component supports, valves and control rod drive mechanisms.
In this role, the selected candidate must have an experience resolving hardware problems; basic understanding of temperature, fluid, and gas control system and components; ability to work with suppliers to implement your designs in a timely and cost-effective fashion.
