In this role, the selected candidate will proactively monitor customer's traffic to detect any sudden, unexplained increase in traffic; identify the IP addresses causing such traffic anomalies and report results to customer.
Assist the network infrastructure team in buildout of new or expanded areas within manufacturing areas. Order and install switches, firewalls, or routers as appropriate. Using existing designs and policies, configure and test equipment before putting into production.
This is a hands-on position involving all the control system hardware and software as the sensors, actuators, motors, machine vision, programmable controllers, and control panels form one integrated system for each project. Company develops and builds custom machine automation systems for manufacturers from concept through installation.
Collaborate during planning and design meetings; create technical diagrams and documentation; prototype new technologies to promote internal IT efficiencies; work with service providers in deployment of new technologies and services.
This position requires a working knowledge of Data Network Devices including but not limited to DSLAMs, ATM switches and routers. A working knowledge of IP networking, ATM networking and MPLS networking is also required. Also required is knowledge of communications protocols like TL1, SNMP, HTTP, XML and SOAP.
