This position is primarily responsible for managing the accounting policy function for the corporation including research and implementation of new accounting standards, evaluation of accounting policies for new business initiatives and researching accounting questions on an as needed basis.
The Controller position directs financial affairs of an organization. Prepares financial analysis of operations for guidance of management. Establishes economic objectives and policies. Prepares company reports outlining income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
The Controller directs the financial activities of the Auto Group by establishing and maintaining effective fiscal procedures and controls, analyzing performance, and recommending or directing action needed to maximize the financial return of the facilities to the dealership division and corporation.
Manage the timely and accurate preparation of a monthly reporting package; monitor, analyze, and prepare manufacturing variance analysis on monthly financial and operating results vs. budget and forecasts; and identify trends & improvement opportunities. Present financial reporting and potential risk areas to Senior Leadership.
