Responsible for working within a multi-physician inpatient hospital setting and provide first assist services primarily, but not limited to the General Surgery Service. Surgical assist may also be required for Orthopedic Surgery, Urology, GYN/Oncology and Vascular Surgery.
Work includes responsibility for maintaining the continuity of the healthcare and medical treatments and guiding individuals and their interdisciplinary habilitative treatment team members in formulating and implementing comprehensive individualized care and treatment program plans.

Works with the nurse practitioners and other physician members of the medical team. Involved in the admission, evaluation, treatment and discharge of post-acute rehab patients and the long term care residents of the continuing care center.
The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position.
The Physician Coding Integrity Coordinator will perform audits on Ambulatory charts and will review medical record documentation for accuracy. In addition, this position will include training and oversight to new providers and residents with immediate review of documentation in the health record and provide ongoing education to established providers.

NPs/PAs will function with a high degree of autonomy but will work closely with the medical director to ensure quality of care and compliance with standards/guidelines.
