In this role, you will plan, organize and direct all related functions and activities (internal and external), establishes goals, objectives, standards of performance, develops operating policies and procedures, interprets hospital policies, standards and regulations to appropriate staff, patients, medical staff and public.
In this role, the selected candidate will be directing the overall operations and ongoing activities of the Nursing Department; assisting in developing, implementing, and monitoring the operational and capital budget.
The Chief Nursing Officer directs all nursing service activities for the facility assigned by making recommendations for staff/patient ratios, by maintaining a system to determine and provide adequate staff for provision of appropriate nursing care, by serving as a liaison between staff and administration, by promoting productivity of staff, by developing and implementing policies and procedures for nursing service in compliance with hospital system policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
In this role, you will be monitoring the quality and appropriateness of all services provided by your staff to ensure compliance and client satisfaction while ensuring adequate staff education, training and evaluation.
This position is actively involved, at the executive level, in the leadership of the organization. Organizing and administering areas of Patient Care Services to attain the hospital's objectives established by the Governing Body.
