Participate in project - wide reviews of requirements, system architecture and detailed design documents. Provide hands - on assistance to identify and resolve issues that arise when integrating the application software with other software components.
The incumbent is responsible for the development and implementation of computer controlled manufacturing processes (such as foundry furnaces, dip lines, autoclave, etc.), and for assuring the accuracy and reliability of those processes.
The principal challenges of this position lies in the development of process controls and procedures in specialized areas as determined by the incumbent, effecting workable solutions to engineering and production problems, and solving those problems rapidly in situations requiring closely coordinated completion with minimum operation interference.
The HiL Test Design Engineer develops expertise in software test design and has advanced knowledge in vehicle functional partitioning, electrical and communication architectures, Ford's embedded software processes, and the Global Product Development System.
Performs complex test engineering tasks and problem solving under the supervision of senior engineering staff in compliance with the Continental development process achieving cost, quality, and schedule initiatives. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
