The primary responsibilities will be to perform normal Database Administration (DBA) support activities for database environments running in production and test environments and have the greatest possible reliability and performance.
The Data Engineer IIs role is to provide subject matter expertise and quality execution in defining, developing, testing, analyzing, and maintaining ETL solutions in support of the achievement of business requirements.
Position works with multiple departments through-out the company, such as finance, accounting, underwriting, and compliance, as well as with external partners, such as managing general agencies, statistical bureaus, and various state departments of insurance.
In this role, you will work on multiple smaller projects simultaneously and become a subject matter expert helping customers solve their business problems. While this is primarily a development role, the ideal person will be a true problem solver and enjoy customer interaction and driving all stages of the software development life cycle.
This individual will provide DBMS expertise to application teams during incident resolution, be a point of escalation for on-call resources, and work to proactively deliver best-in-class availability across companys database platforms.
