The Power and Signal Distribution Systems (PSDS) Engineer is a key position responsible for designing and implementing the entire power and signal distribution system for vehicle programs. It is an electrical engineering position within the Product Development Team.
The HiL Test Design Engineer develops expertise in software test design and has advanced knowledge in vehicle functional partitioning, electrical and communication architectures, Ford's embedded software processes, and the Global Product Development System.
In this role, you will develop, create and update software design documents in the automotive industry. Write, debug and test software code for automotive embedded software systems. Read, analyze and interpret microcontroller manuals to write driver level software to get the microcontroller running
The person in this role is responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems in machinery; collaboration with the product management team, global engineering and US engineering team (electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers) is required to successfully meet design criteria and project timelines.
Develop and release structural components and subsystems into production, collaborating with attribute leads, cross-functional engineering teams, manufacturing team, engineering partners, and other stakeholders.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for releasing components and/or calibrations into the parts releasing systems, executing and evaluating designs, performing analysis, development, and testing of engineering projects in the area of automotive infotainment systems.
