This team is highly collaborative, customer focused, Scaled Agile (SAFe), and fast-paced. We plan for a 10 week program increment and 2 week sprints. The team continues to find uses of technology to solve problems and automate the work. Partnership and communication with team members, program, and other departments is a key to success in this position.
The candidate must be able to complete tasks/projects in a timely manner, without prompting. The candidate must continuously review their own work to ensure quality and create professional, thorough, error-free work that meets or exceeds DOT IT staffs expectations.
In this role, you must have the ability to follow an enterprise framework for all phases of software development; testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-devise compatibility for inconsistencies.
As a Java Software Engineer for GDIT, you will create exciting applications by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces as a member of the Health Analytics Application Development team.
They will start out supporting the current imaging systems and application. However they will move into being the sole development resource for the Department of Labor project related to the Fiduciary Rule changes.
