As a Java Software Engineer for GDIT, you will create exciting applications by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces as a member of the Health Analytics Application Development team.
The Software Developer/Programmer (SDP) converts data from project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs: Prepares, or receives from systems analyst detailed workflow chart and diagram to illustrate sequence of steps that program must follow and to describe input, output, and logical operations involved.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for requirements gathering, analyzing and determining feasibility, working with others to design and recommend solutions; documenting and testing solutions, training end users.
In this role, you must have the ability to follow an enterprise framework for all phases of software development; testing cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-devise compatibility for inconsistencies.
They will start out supporting the current imaging systems and application. However they will move into being the sole development resource for the Department of Labor project related to the Fiduciary Rule changes.
