This position will support Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) program on the Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD), SBIRS Follow-on Production (SFP), and Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contracts.
This position is to support the preliminary and detailed design phases for programs within the Raytheon IIS portfolio that include the following businesses; Cyber Security and Special Missions, Global Intelligence Solutions, Mission Support and Modernization, Navigation and Environmental Solutions, and Transportation and Support Services.
The individual will work closely with systems and payload design engineers to identify key capabilities to meet mission needs, and construct Matlab, JAVA, or C/C++ models for simulation and algorithm verification.
In this role, the selected candidate will analyze complex local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluation, selecting operating systems and protocol suites, and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
In this role, you will maintain technical project responsibility for assigned tasks, provide technical oversight of subcontractors, and work closely with management to provide status on progress on project development tasks.
In this role, the selected candidate will support the development and conduct of mission operations for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers; conduct spacecraft or instrument performance modeling and simulation using existing models and help create new models.
In this role, the selected candidate will lead and participate in the activities involved in developing a comprehensive and logical test plan for systems using appropriate tools to ensure established standards are utilized.
