This dynamic organization is looking for a Real Estate Accountant. The Real Estate Accountant will be an integral part of the accounting team assisting with financial reporting, cash management, general ledger, budgets and taxes.
The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and tax preparation software, be able to prepare/review individual, partnership, corporation, nonprofit, and trust tax returns. Experience with fixed asset depreciation, loan amortization applications, and software.
The positions primary responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of USGAAP and IFRS financial statements and disclosures, preparing audit schedules and answering questions from external auditors, researching accounting topics and involvement in implementing new standards, preparation of corporate journal entries, and review of bank reconciliations.
The ideal candidate will be well versed in the new technical accounting and revenue recognition standards, understand process flows and be able to make recommendations on how to ensure the new systems and processes are efficient and compliant when fully implementing Revenue Recognition across the organization.
