This position is responsible for providing professional Electrical Engineering service and technical support to Maintenance and Operation departments for the re-design, modification, re-engineering and retrofitting of electrical equipment to improve quality and productivity.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, specification, development, installation, plant start-up, troubleshooting, and technology transfer for new products/equipment and cost saving initiatives, including collaboration with global process engineering for design standardization.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide programming support and commission new instrumentation, equipment and processes; troubleshoot and replace system hardware, resolve software malfunctions and manage software upgrades.
In this role, you will perform CAD modeling and detail drawings, assist in patent searches, do necessary calculations, select materials, determine and coordinate tests, review and analyze costs, and solve design related problems.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for engineer, program, debug and integrate controls for multi-axis machine tools and: linear and rotary motors, servomotors, electromagnetic, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators, optical and touch based sensors, programmable controllers and IO interfaces including human machine interfaces.
In this role, the selected candidate will be designing controls systems to control: programmable controllers and IO interfaces; touch based and optical sensors; pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromagnetic actuators; servo devices and linear or rotary motors; etc.
This position designs/develops components/parts/systems in area of speciality per established quality/development schedule guidelines, implementing design ideas/features by preparing, checking and issuing 2D and 3D drawings/layouts, calculations and analysis and confirming prototype parts compliance with drawing specifications.
