The Quality Engineer will lead and facilitate the implementation of global and site specific quality initiatives and their continual improvement. Responsible for the site quality engineering activities and lead, coach, and facilitate problem solving, analysis of data and continual improvement activities.
The primary activities of this role will include the implementation of process controls to obtain Nadcap certification for the coatings department, provide QE oversight for the Overhaul & Repair department, and implementation of ZDP (Zero Defect Plan) actions.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. You will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.
In this role, you will be responsible to supports the analysis of production limitations and problems for continuous improvement opportunities. Conduct process/ system audits to improve product quality. Support shop floor when needed by leading and facilitating issues related to quality.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible to support the Rockwell Collins Fabrication Center from a quality engineering stand point, supporting all processes occurring within the department.
In this role, the selected candidate will promote the use of continuous improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke, Measurement System Analysis and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis.
