The Linux Systems Engineer is responsible for the support and implementation of Linux and other IT Infrastructure services across the enterprise. This position is also responsible for day to day operation and maintenance of critical business systems.
In this position, you will develop requirements work packages, data item dictionary, trusted file classification specifications, and system/subsystem design document; conducts internal and external collaboration and customer and supplier technical interchange meetings; participates in software product evaluation reviews and software change configuration board; investigates and corrects software product anomaly reports.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide technical solution to infrastructure performance optimizations and incidents that is not limited to architecture, implementing and support Domain Controller/Active Directory, physical and virtual servers, database servers and high performance storage solution.
In this role, you will maintain current knowledge of industry-standard solutions and emerging technologies in the network monitoring and visibility space, and drive adoption at Capital One as appropriate.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide mission systems (MS) software (SW) engineering support, coordination and technical guidance of government software activities, and subject matter expertise into all weapons, datalink, and sensor.
In this role, the selected candidate will interface with the client. Creative teams, testing team and other impacted IT teams to code, test confirm, and deploy changes in prod using agile methodologies.
In this role, you will be responsible for designs, develops, documents and analyzes the overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software. The selected candidate will be responsible for translating business needs into technical solutions, and defining solutions to problems through the reasoned application of information technology.
