In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the engineering and design of building electrical systems (lighting, power, and limited special systems) for facilities such as K-12 and higher education, healthcare, hospitality and commercial buildings.
In this role, the selected candidate will lead quality change initiatives and programs for all relevant departments, communicate with vendors or contractors on quality guidelines, testing procedures, or ways to eliminate deficiencies.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop and improve aluminum joining methods, including fusion welding, Friction Stir Welding (FSW), and EMPT; develop and improve protocols for the use of adhesives and mechanical fasteners in aluminum joining.
This person will provide support to both the construction and maintenance divisions in addressing various engineering issues associated with existing facilities, remodels and new-build construction, work with maintenance managers, construction managers in maintaining and updating the standard proto-types as it relates to Electrical Engineering.
This position is responsible for reviewing and aiding the co-producer with the incorporation all major & minor engineering changes, manufacturing system changes (i.e. work around plans, associated tooling modifications, manufacturing plans). Aid the co-producer to pursue corrective actions and continuous improvement in all build areas.
In this role, you will write test procedures, compile and evaluate design and test data and prepare technical specifications. The selected candidate will recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes.
In this role, you will be developing plant layouts, tooling philosophies, ordering and tracking tools being built at tooling suppliers, assessing production shop equipment needs, analyzing capital forecasts, investigating tool discrepancies, determining root cause, initiating tooling rework activities and standing up production areas.
In this role, you will manage Facilities construction projects to include: coordination with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layouts and detailed drawings; preparing bid sheets.
