This person will perform complex operational tasks that include support of various types of applications used in a web infrastructure, analysis of the root cause of any problem issues, resolution of any application problems, and escalation of any irresolvable issues to the vendor as necessary.
Position requires working with data warehousing team members, Data Architecture and Integrated Operations teams to ensure the Integrated Data Warehouse compliance are adhered to and the performance and optimization issues are addressed.
Responsible for Teradata DBA and System support services to cover Development, Test & Production environments including proactive monitoring, SQL tuning, code promotion, database design, backup/recovery, database operations and support, capacity planning and workload management (TASM).
Responsible for the identification and resolution of information flow, content issues and the transformation of business requirements into logical data models. This position identifies opportunities to reduce data redundancy, trends in data uses and single sources of data.
In this role, the selected candidate will be managing Single Global instance environments with maintaining high availability; working with a big DBA team with members in different geographical locations.
Must have a good exposure to UDB DBA maintenance activities like reorgs, runstats, back-up, restore, expanding and reducing the tablespaces; experience in closely working with application performance issues in production environment.
This position is responsible for delivering technical solutions as a member of the team providing services to meet and exceed scope requirement for projects at our clients site. Candidate will track and monitor progress of tasks assigned as well as offer preemptive solutions to effectively minimize down time and project failures.
Demonstrate technical expertise, establishes credibility with both technical resources and decision makers. Work with client systems, performance, and current and potential data loaded onto systems to facilitate demand creation.
