The ideal candidate has strong experience in: forecasting & analysis; using Excel and Quickbooks; running and overseeing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll; conducting Monthly and Quarterly Closes and Reconciliations; General Ledger; Bookkeeping; and strong experience in Budgeting.
The senior accountant is responsible for maintaining the financial records of multiple entities and assisting with staff training of company accounting procedures. Additionally, the senior accountant will assist in establishing procedures and accounting practices for both corporate and property operations.
In this role, you will interact with internal and external customers, other accounting team members, asset managers, property managers and all necessary departments to ensure prompt resolution of issues and achieve maximum efficiency of operations. Develop a solid understanding of the accounting for the assigned portfolio to be viewed as a valuable resource for others working with the portfolio.
This role is responsible for the efficient and effective day-to-day operational accounting function including, revenue, joint interest billing, and accounts payable, and oversight of the financial reporting and tax functions.
In this position, you will prepare and analyze quarterly/annual financial statements including supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP (fair value and/or historic cost basis). Demonstrate a solid understanding and ownership of the financial statement process.
This person will be responsible for providing financial and business oversight for external/management reporting, financial planning/analysis, acquisition analysis and integration, financial and non-financial business process review, business strategy initiatives, capital investments, information technology, and special projects.
