Responsible for taking general mechanical design requirements, refining them within the scope of the system requirements, developing alternative design approaches, and finally, following design implementation from concept to prototype, to final system verification.
Execute packaging technology strategies in the plants, including growth initiatives, quality improvements, productivity/cost-reduction activities, troubleshooting activities and general packaging support as needed.
Develop validation plans for new and existing manufacturing processes supporting specifications, prints & quality requirements; manage and lead process improvement efforts to reduce scrap and improve productivity.
Support and develop the use of statistical techniques, develop validation protocols, qualify first articles, complete process capability studies & process validation on both internal & supplier processes.
This role will also expand to supporting landing gear control system development efforts, served by the system integration organization. Develop and support a model-based approach to requirements development and system level testing.
