Support and troubleshoot issues with control systems including PLC programming, interface systems, and PC controlled systems. Revise equpment programs as necessary to support manufacturing process improvements.
Support manufacturing to ensure Bill of Materials accuracy and modifications based on Continuous Improvement activities; procure and allocate resources on identified capital investments projects related to equipment, process, and facilities.
The Materials Engineer will provide technical support of materials for the company"s plant while researching and developing current and next generation products, with a focus on materials and composite technology.
Participation on, and Leadership of, Capital and Improvement project teams from initiation through execution, including development and implementation of strategy and overall delivery to budgets and timelines as established by Site Leadership and the Project Team.
Working with complex measurement systems such as vision systems for product quality, thermal imaging temperature measurements, rfid and barcode tag reading for product identification, strip thickness and coating thickness gauges, etc.
Present data-driven business cases and build consensus on process changes with fulfillment center leadership and executive team; evaluate and select vendors, lead and ensure successful implementation, ramp up new processes, and measure results.
Maintain the drive and control systems for the area assigned. Develop and maintain system preventative/predictive maintenance schedules.Lead and assist in system troubleshooting and repairs. Work with maintenance staff to determine the root cause of all electrical failures and develop/implement solutions to stop recurrence.
