Oversees a team of project management professionals that lead and direct planning, execution, controlling, reporting and communication of complex and unique projects across an array of functional activities. Directs activities to ensure successful project delivery to clients (internal and external) and project portfolio is within the annual budgeted plan. Sets department priorities, communicates progress and ensures ongoing alignment to the organizations strategic objectives.
Deals with conflicting demands of the role, like win concessions without damaging relationships; be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic, escalate risks, issues without hurting the teams/people involved.

The Program Director may be well placed to provide this insight by actively seeking out such information from the Project Managers although in large and/or complex projects, a specific role may be required.
