Assist supervising physician in management of hospitalized patients (with concurrent hospital approval for such a role) plus: check on clinical status of patient, explain tests or therapy, report on progress to physician, check on report of studies, assist in documentation of care, within limits of hospital regulations, transfer copies of hospital data to office records when appropriate, arrange for post hospitalization follow-up care, assist in surgery, and make rounds when appropriate.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care at an advanced practice level to children and their families through assessment, communication, clinical management, collaboration, coordination, education, program development, research, self evaluation, professional development and system participation.
In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely documentation into the EMR for all patient care,i.e. patient interview/encounters, medical and social histories, evaluations andmanagement, and treatment plans.
This position includes direct care of patients in the outpatient setting, including office and dialysis clinics. Daily work includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment and education of patients in collaboration with physician providers.
