This plant position is responsible for managing environmental programs and safety programs at a single facility to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental and safety laws and regulations.
In this role, the selected candidate will ensure ongoing identification and control of potential hazardous conditions in such areas as air sampling, hearing conservation, radiation protection, toxic substance protection and safe work practices throughout the organization.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop and deploy early warning monitoring processes for detecting threats and opportunities from emerging standards and regulatory with high potential product impact or business risk.
In this role, you will be responsible for
provide technical and regulatory expertise based on knowledge of OSHA, DOT, NFPA, and other pertinent regulations to assist staff and local work force in the solution of safety and security related issues. Ensure that Company safety procedures are followed.
In this role, the selected candidate will serve as a resource/consultant to staff and field management regarding the development of new capital projects to ensure that safety and security standards are met.
