A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for a broad range of mechanical engineering and multi-disciplinary tasks. Typical assignments will include mechanical design, analysis, and integration at the system and component level.
Responsible for the implementation of project and process support activities toward attainment of departmental and plant goals; primary focus in areas of capacity expansion, quality/waste improvement and cost improvement programs.
Management responsibilities include supervision of design and drafting staff, coordination with clients and associates, and organization of design and construction administration activities to meet established schedules and budgets.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer operates within the Charleston, SC Machining Center of Excellence and will focus on execution and implementation of best machining practices, including process troubleshooting and improvement, new product introduction, and advancements in machining technologies.

The Manufacturing/Process Engineer Supports, monitors, regulates and controls the battery manufacturing process for safety, quality, productivity and performance. Ownership, understanding and committed improvement of plant and department metrics is expected. It is also expected that the Engineer will perform varied and somewhat complex work where independent judgment and action is exercised.
In this role, you will design of highly varied types of mechanical systems, including fixtures, machining, assembly, part feeding, handling, welding, dispensing, testing, measuring, etc. utilized in automated equipment for a wide range of manufacturing customers.
Plan, direct, and continually improve Lean Manufacturing initiatives at the site. Drive the implementation of Lean fundamental competencies (Value Stream Maps, Visual Performance Metrics, WPO, Kaizen, Work Standardization, Gemba Engagement) & transformational competencies (workplace design, inventory controls, capacity flexibility, flow smoothing, value add analysis, insignificant changeover) in order to continually improve performance in quality, cost, delivery, morale, & safety.
