Candidate will review systems and tests of the systems to periodically verify that security features and operating controls are functional and effective and utilize security - related software for the detection of malicious code and viruses.
Engineer III position is responsible to the operations manager for advanced network security tasks / processes in a complex, secure and challenging environment in support of a nationwide fiber optic transport network and two geographically separated network operations centers.
Analyze security event logs from network security devices (e.g., network and host-based security systems, firewalls, routers, switches, etc.) and mission critical servers for indicators of compromise and known attack patterns.
Responsibilities include designing, developing and executing test plans for various systems including software, hardware, radar systems and communication systems. Occasional domestic and international travel.
This individual contributor is primarily responsible for assisting in the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into software solutions, assisting in the implementation and maintenance of business software solutions, and supporting systems integration testing and user acceptance testing.
