The Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) cares for immediate postoperative patients in all age ranges. Post anesthesia care is provided for a range of specialties including ambulatory, inpatient and critical care patients.
In this role, you will provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
In this role, you will coordinate total quality nursing care for patients using nursing standard and a collaborative and multidisciplinary process; participate in patient and family teaching; provide leadership working cooperatively with other health care providers.
In this role, you will deliver quality nursing care to patients through interpersonal contact and provides care and services to allow patients to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations.
In this role, you will be responsible for actively participates in department or unit-specific quality improvement efforts. Identifies opportunity for quality improvement to colleagues and management. Takes personal responsibility in improving patient satisfaction with the quality of care and service.
In this role, you will evaluate assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
In this role, you will develop and maintain productive working relationships internally and externally by demonstrating accountability for actions, enthusiasm, motivation and commitment to patients and colleagues.
