In this role, the selected candidate will be overseeing all aspects of the nursing staff, including scheduling, performance management, education support; ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements of medication administration and care standards not only meet but exceed requirements.
The Director of Nursing Operations works under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer. As a member of the Mercy's management team, the Director will participate in functional decision-making processes necessary to the successful attainment of the Mission of Mercy to ensure the highest quality care and services are provided in the most efficient manner.
In this role, the selected candidate will ensure Nursing Staff's compliance with all OSHA, Quality Assurance and Risk Management regulations, including occurrence reports, safety regulations and infection control.
The director must be able to demonstrate competence to participate in interdisciplinary formulation of individual treatment plans; to give skilled nursing care the therapy; and to direct, monitor, and evaluate the nursing care furnished in the inpatient psychiatric hospital environment.
The position requires an individual with excellent clinical and managerial credentials to direct the resident care of both the post-hospital rehab and long-term care programs, develop and implement policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all government regulations.
